Surgery approachithith

Hi.
As many of you know, and many of you don’t, I (that is, Shawn Grunberger) am having aortic root replacement surgery on February 22, 2007. This blog aspires to be the place where Debbie and I record our experiences during and after this unusual event.
Not many experiences have been recorded here to date. We’ll see what we can do about that. Begin!

Thanks Toni. I average out exactly in the middle: swinging between surges of anxiety and periods of Zen-ish bliss. Both extremes are bound together with a thick glue of unreality!
